Make-A-Wish Foundation 

The mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since its founding in 1980 in Phoenix, Arizona, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has granted a wish to every qualified child referred.

Incorporated in 1982, the North Texas chapter serves 161 counties in the North Texas area and has fulfilled the wishes of more than 6,200 children to date. In 2012, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas expects to grant 545 wishes at an average value of $7,000.
